Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all aspects of the College's VET, Careers, WPL, and post-school transition programs.
  • Drive innovation and quality improvement through regular review and analysis of student outcomes and program effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with external providers including industry, TAFEs, RTOs, and community organisations.
  • Oversee the joint management of the Peron Trade Training Centre with South Metropolitan TAFE, ensuring program delivery for both Gilmore students and those from the wider area.
  • Provide expert advice and support to students, staff, and families regarding VET and post-school options.
  • Promote VET and related programs across the school and broader community.
  • Manage VET-related data, including SCSA and Senior School reporting requirements, using system data management tools to inform planning and reporting.
  • Identify and apply for funding, grants, and other opportunities to expand program offerings and student access.
Desirable Skills And Experience
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in VET, senior secondary schooling, careers or transition pathways.
  • High-level understanding of VET curriculum, policy, accreditation and reporting requirements.
  • Proven ability to foster effective partnerships with stakeholders, including TAFEs, industry bodies, and community organisations.
  • Strong data literacy and experience using educational data to inform program development and reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and securing external funding opportunities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.

Eligibility
  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • hold registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia
  • obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
