The Opportunity

You will be joining a small but cohesive HR unit within a broader team containing L&D, Recruitment and People Systems functions that are well regarded within the business.

As a proactive business partner you will support operations throughout Australia, operating in various market sectors.

What You'll Do

Maintain and expand the successful Business Partner model by delivering quality strategic initiatives, tactical advice and transactional services. Support Leaders in achieving business objectives through optimal employee engagement, performance and behaviour.

Core functions include:

  • Full suite generalist support
  • Coordination of key annual programs (workforce planning, workforce engagement, succession planning, performance appraisals)
  • IR Management (EA negotiations, workforce restructuring, other highly consultative programs)
  • Grievance management, workplace investigations, counselling/performance management
  • Policy and process development, implementation and compliance
  • Specialised stakeholder input into systems and practices
  • Organisational design and change coordination

Success looks like:

Your customers view you as a 'one stop shop' for needs and strategic involvement. Your advice is viewed as professional, practical and useful. Year-on-year improvement in employee engagement, retention and other core analytics.

You'll Need These To Succeed

Significant experience in servicing and supporting customers in a business model. Previous experience in IR/ER matters including negotiation and interpretation of EAs and awards. Advanced communication skills and strong negotiation and influencing skills.

Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a relevant field.
