The Role: Senior Manager Credit Risk

We seek an experienced Senior Manager Credit Risk to oversee strategic credit risk management across treasury investment assets and loan portfolios. This pivotal role ensures frameworks, policies, and risk practices align with regulatory expectations while supporting informed commercial decision-making and sustainable growth.

  • Provide strategic oversight of credit risk, including hardship management, non-performing loans, specific provisioning, ECL, RWA, and capital adequacy.
  • Design and implement a robust hindsight process to ensure sound credit decisions and accountability.
  • Monitor credit risk RAS metrics and ensure the portfolio remains within appetite.
  • Lead the development of a fit-for-purpose credit risk stress testing framework aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Continuously improve ICAAP-related stress testing models to reflect plausible scenarios in line with APRA expectations.
About You
  • A tertiary qualification in Commerce, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Strong working knowledge of APRA regulatory obligations in retail banking.
  • Experience with capital adequacy, ICAAP, and stress testing frameworks.
  • Proven ability to elevate credit risk frameworks and embed them into operational practice.
