The OpportunityAs a Senior Mental Health Clinician, you will play a key role in providing clinical leadership, supervision, and governance to a multidisciplinary team supporting young people in custody.
You will conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and provide relationally informed psychological case management and interventions. Your expertise will help shape our service delivery and ensure we remain at the forefront of youth mental health care.
- Clinical Expertise:
- Conduct mental health assessments, formulate treatment plans, and provide psychological treatment, crisis intervention, family support, and systems containment for young people in need of immediate care and their families.
- Deliver clinical care that aligns with PYMHWS client-focused, accessible, and evidence-based standards, ensuring it is culturally safe, trauma-informed, and responsive to the diverse needs of all young people and families.
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with key agencies, community groups, and service providers through consultation, liaison, and collaborative projects.
To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in tertiary and/or youth mental health, including supervisory experience. You will also possess relevant registration and qualifications, such as RPN Grade 4, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, or Psychologist Grade 3.
You will be motivated by youth-focused, inclusive, and recovery-oriented care, with a sound knowledge of the youth justice and/or criminal justice system and other relevant community-based forensic services.
