Job Title: IT Infrastructure Specialist

The role of an IT Infrastructure Specialist involves overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, hardware, and software.

This includes ensuring high levels of system availability and performance through effective planning, coordination, and implementation of infrastructure upgrades and modifications.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine hardware and software requirements based on business needs.
  • Coordinate with vendors to acquire necessary equipment and software.
  • Maintain existing infrastructure to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Evaluate new technologies to improve infrastructure efficiency.
  • Develop and implement policies for data backup and recovery procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years in IT infrastructure management.
  • Skills: Knowledge of network protocols and architecture, experience with virtualization technologies (VMware), understanding of cloud computing principles, familiarity with security best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project management certification (PMP).
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and methodologies.
