We are seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding the service desk team, contributing to IT strategy, and ensuring the effective management of IT infrastructure and support services.

The role involves several key responsibilities:

  1. Guide the service desk team and delegate tasks to ensure efficient issue resolution and timely completion of projects.

  2. Contribute to the development of IT strategy, aligning with business objectives and goals.

  3. Evaluate and recommend technology solutions to improve IT infrastructure and support services.

  4. Administer, maintain, and develop servers for optimal performance and high availability.

  5. Ensure quality desktop support for end users, addressing technical issues promptly and effectively.

  6. Configure and verify backups and business continuity solutions to minimize downtime and data loss.

  7. Design networks and servers to meet current and future needs, ensuring scalability and flexibility.

  8. Procure and receive technology goods, managing inventory and assets efficiently.

  9. Manage mobile devices and maintain asset registers, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.

  10. Consult with internal departments on solutions, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.

  11. Manage phone system hardware and configurations, ensuring seamless communication.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • IT degree or relevant experience, with a strong understanding of IT concepts and technologies.

  • Networking and switch configuration skills, with knowledge of VMware vSphere and backups.

  • Software license management skills, ensuring compliance and cost-effectiveness.

  • Experience with SSO integration and identity providers, enhancing security and access control.

  • O365 administration experience, with expertise in Microsoft Office 365 tools and platforms.

  • Working knowledge of firewall and router technologies, ensuring network security and integrity.
