Salary Range
The estimated salary for this role in Sydney is between $90,000 and $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Job Description
This exciting opportunity exists for a Financial Project Manager to support all Defence projects in Sydney and the wider national Defence team. The successful candidate will provide financial management and control expertise across all aspects of projects, including cost estimates, quantity take-off, value engineering, tendering and evaluation, progress claim and variation assessment, final account close-out.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide financial management and control expertise across all aspects of projects
- Estimate and manage project costs, including producing and presenting the final cost plan report
- Measure and validate project expenditure against established budgets and forecasts
- Engage with stakeholders to obtain quotations/pricing to support cost estimate
- Prepare and present progress claims and variation assessments and valuations
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A minimum of 2-3 years postgraduate experience in a related field
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Defence clearance or Australian citizenship as a minimum
- AIQS or RICS membership or currently on the pathway to membership
- Experience in CostX is preferred
