Project Financial Controller

As a Project Financial Controller at Nova Systems, you will play a vital role in driving financial success across various projects. Located in Australia, this position offers a competitive salary of approximately AU$95,000 - AU$125,000 per annum, depending on experience.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced accountant to join our team and contribute to the financial management of our projects. Your expertise in accounting principles, project management, and analytical skills will be essential in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.
You will work closely with project managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to review and develop project budgets, monitor revenue and expenditures, and provide regular financial forecasts. Your attention to detail and ability to analyze financial data will enable you to identify cost-saving opportunities, potential overruns, and areas for process improvement.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project managers to review and develop project budgets based on contractual documents
- Support mobilisation activities with a focus on governance and reporting
- Monitor project revenue and expenditures against budgets and profitability
- Provide regular financial forecasts for ongoing projects
- Conduct financial analysis to ensure compliance with revenue accounting standards and legislation
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and potential overruns
- Generate accurate and timely invoices based on project milestones
- Prepare regular financial reports, summarizing key metrics, project progress, and potential risks
- Ensure compliance with revenue accounting standards, legislation, and organisational policies
To succeed in this role, you will require:
