Role Summary:

We are seeking an exceptional geoscience professional to join our team as a senior manager. In this critical position, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standard of technical advice and delivery for Queensland priority developments.

You will research, develop, and deliver best practice strategic infrastructure planning policies, frameworks, and procedures for the state's priority development areas and broader state infrastructure planning. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying infrastructure requirements and providing engineering infrastructure planning services.

This role requires a high level of specialist and authoritative advice, project leadership, peer reviews, and technical competency in discipline expertise areas. You will also contribute to building partnerships and managing relationships with stakeholders, including local government, water utilities providers, and other authorities.

To succeed in this role, you must have qualifications in geoscience or environmental engineering and be a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ). Postgraduate qualifications in geoscience will be highly advantageous. You should also demonstrate high-level skills as an individual and part of a senior management team, shaping strategic and operational thinking around complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist and authoritative advice in identifying infrastructure requirements/solutions and providing engineering infrastructure planning services
  • Lead allocated projects or elements of projects
  • Lead peer reviews and technical competency in all matters related to discipline expertise areas
  • Actively contribute to building partnerships and manage ongoing relationships with stakeholders
