Geoscience Lead Position

We are seeking a seasoned geoscientist to spearhead our geological assessments for proposed activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and conducting geological evaluations, including existing and future field strategies. This role requires strong technical leadership skills with respect to geological inputs, risks, and uncertainties, including static modeling of subsurface data.

You will also provide coordination of studies and trials to de-risk future projects, liaison with other groups to understand new technologies, and project development management in accordance with Deliver Wells and Manage Information process.

A degree in Geoscience is required, along with extensive post-qualification experience and demonstrable team management skills. Strong JV capability, excellent analytical skills, opportunity identification, and business development acumen are also essential.

About the Role:

  • Oversee and conduct geological assessments of proposed activities
  • Provide technical leadership on geological inputs, risks, and uncertainties
  • Coordinate studies and trials to mitigate future project risks
  • Facilitate collaboration with other teams to explore new technologies
  • Develop and implement project management strategies
  • Lead the development and maintenance of static models incorporating subsurface uncertainty
  • Mentor and develop the geoscience team
