The role of a Data Manager Vinah involves overseeing the lifecycle of data, ensuring its quality and integrity.

This position is focused on managing the Victorian Integrated Non-Admitted Health (VINAH) Dataset, with opportunities to work on smaller datasets and reporting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing data extraction, cleansing, submission, and reconciliation cycles to meet departmental and internal reporting deadlines.
  • Maintaining high-quality control and reconciliation measures for VINAH.
  • Liaising with staff involved in front-end data collection to ensure understanding of data requirements and integrity.

Additional duties may involve working on the Victorian Healthcare Experience Survey (VHES), Discharge Summary Compliance Reporting & support, and the Victorian Audit of Surgical Mortality (VASM).

To be successful in this role, you will require excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills, intermediate to advanced Excel skills, and strong interpersonal skills. A qualification in Health Information Management is highly valued.
