Job Description

We are seeking a Project Officer to assist in the coordination of our StreetCare group and support members to be effective advocates. As a key member of our team, you will:

  • Organise StreetCare meetings, arrange attendance, prepare agendas, meeting papers and minutes;
  • Maintain regular contact with members, assisting with referrals to support services;
  • Attend conferences and public forums to contribute to our knowledge and understanding of homelessness;
  • Contribute to our systemic advocacy through drafting submissions, reports, articles and media releases;

To succeed in this role, you will have well-developed interpersonal skills, organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with people who have lived experience of homelessness. You will also have an understanding of government, law reform and policy making processes and be able to contribute to submissions, reports and policy papers on issues relevant to StreetCare's work.
