
Senior Family Abuse Intervention Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Family Abuse Intervention Specialist to join our team in promoting the safety, empowerment, and recovery of individuals who have experienced domestic and family violence.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive risk assessments, adaptive safety planning, and specialist short-term therapeutic and case management services to clients who have experienced recent domestic violence and their children.
This role requires a high level understanding of the inter-related dynamics and effects of domestic violence, sexual assault, physical abuse, and neglect, as well as a commitment to integrated models for working with clients who have experienced trauma and abuse.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work and eligibility for membership to Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Demonstrated extensive clinical experience with a minimum as a level 2 and a commitment to maintaining a professional skills and knowledge base.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate, advocate, and interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders throughout all organisational levels.
