Clinical Family Intervention Role
The Clinical Family Intervention Clinician is a critical position in delivering clinical family therapy intervention to clients with complex mental health needs from the Central Coast Local Health District Mental Health Service and their carers/families.
This role involves supporting the establishment of clinical service pathways between the Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) and Community Managed Organisations (CMO), enhancing ongoing access to family therapy and support services for clients and their family.
Key aspects of this role include:
- SUPPORTING SERVICE NAVIGATION AND ACCESS: Collaborate with clients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless navigation through available services.
- ESTABLISHING PARTNERSHIPS: Foster strong relationships with local service providers to enhance access to family therapy and support services.
- STREAMLINING REFERRAL PATHWAYS: Develop efficient referral processes to minimize delays and maximize client outcomes.
- PROVIDING EDUCATION AND TRAINING: Offer workshops, training sessions, or one-on-one coaching to CCLHD staff on clinical family interventions.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Psychology, Counselling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or equivalent qualification.
- A postgraduate qualification and/or relevant industry experience in delivering clinical family therapy services.
- Strong assessment, referral, and coordination skills for young people.
- Ability to utilize person-centred frameworks and strengths-based approaches in providing casework and counselling.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and understanding of mediation and conflict resolution techniques.
- High-level negotiation, communication, and facilitation skills.
