Are you a skilled professional passionate about making a difference in the lives of women and children affected by family violence?

We are seeking a compassionate and resilient Family Violence Intervention Specialist to join our Rapid Response Team.

\

This is an opportunity to work directly with women and children experiencing or at risk of family violence, providing immediate responses, safety planning, crisis support, and referrals in community settings and crisis accommodation.

\

From a feminist and trauma-informed perspective, you will walk alongside those in crisis, offering them hope, support, and a path forward.

\

About the Role:

\

This is a fixed-term full-time position contracted for 12 months, based in Windsor, VIC.

\

You will be responsible for responding promptly to referrals, providing outreach support, conducting assessments, delivering crisis interventions, and developing collaborative case plans.

\

You will also connect clients with holistic, culturally appropriate services and community supports, maintain accurate, confidential records, and advocate for client safety and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work (or equivalent)\
  • Experience in family violence or child wellbeing work (highly desirable)\
  • Strong crisis intervention skills and a calm, empathetic approach\
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities\
  • Knowledge of family violence frameworks and child protection principles\
  • Commitment to culturally safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed practice\
  • A current and valid Employee Working with Children's Check\
  • A current full VIC Driver's Licence\
