Job Summary

The Business Development Advisor plays a crucial role in building and maintaining operational relationships with a dedicated panel of Vero brokers. This involves working collaboratively with underwriting, claims, and credit teams to deliver customer-focused service, support, and issue resolution.

This position entails setting objectives with higher opportunity brokers and managing all broker activities to ultimately achieve GWP retention, profitable growth, and broker satisfaction.

  • Establish and maintain operational relationships with key staff in broker panel offices, aligning with established service and value propositions, and develop a comprehensive understanding of each broker's business.
  • Develop SMART objectives and related activities that focus on the achievement of retention, growth, and satisfaction.
  • Coordinate, prioritize, and manage activities to maximize outcomes.
  • Resolve broker queries and requests, delivering responsive quality outcomes that take into account broker and internal needs, objectives, and constraints.
  • Pursue new business opportunities through prospecting and qualification.

Main Responsibilities

Key Account Management:

  • Foster strong relationships with key brokers and their teams.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.

Sales and Marketing:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve growth targets.
  • Promote the company's products and services to existing and potential customers.

Requirements

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in insurance or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative commercial partnerships, relationships, and networks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
