Role Significance:

The Logistics and Supply Chain Project Manager will be instrumental in overseeing the comprehensive management of our supply chain for cervical cancer initiatives within the Asia and Pacific Health Program. This position demands a commitment to continuous enhancement and the formulation of strategies to optimize our supply chain operations. The role necessitates engagement with both internal and external stakeholders, including service providers, suppliers, freight forwarders, project coordinators, and local personnel. Effective communication and robust relationship-building will be essential for achieving favorable business outcomes. This position reports to the Senior Program Manager of the Asia and Pacific Health Program and does not have direct reports.

Candidate Profile:
  1. Exceptional communicator, capable of collaborating with individuals at all levels and simplifying complex concepts for a general audience.
  2. Relevant tertiary qualification coupled with extensive experience in logistics, operations, freight forwarding, and supply chain management, or equivalent expertise acquired through education and experience.
  3. Demonstrated experience in managing time-sensitive supply chains across various projects and regions, including procurement, supplier relations, customs processes, and inventory management.
  4. Proven project management capabilities in the development, execution, monitoring, and assessment of supply chain operations, including contributions to project planning and documentation.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret supply data and identify root causes of supply chain challenges to drive improvements.
  6. Experience in the healthcare sector and/or with diverse communities, particularly in the Asia and Pacific regions, is highly desirable, including experience in training and collaborating with local and international personnel.
  7. Advanced written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail for producing deliverables such as standard operating procedures.
  8. Understanding of budgeting and resource allocation, with the ability to provide detailed logistics costs for program budgets and monitor expenditures.
  9. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and supply chain modeling.
  10. Excellent time management abilities, with a proven track record of adapting to shifting priorities, managing multiple responsibilities, and meeting deadlines through effective judgment and initiative.

  12. Awareness of health and safety responsibilities and dedication to participating in relevant training.
