This position demands a commitment to continuous enhancement and the formulation of ongoing strategies to optimize our supply chain processes. Interaction with both internal and external stakeholders—including contract service providers, suppliers, freight forwarders, project coordinators, and local personnel—is crucial. Effective communication and robust relationships are vital for achieving successful business results. This role reports to the Senior Program Manager of the Asia and Pacific Health Program and does not have any direct reports.

Your Profile:
You are a confident communicator, adept at collaborating with individuals at all levels and simplifying complex terminology for a general audience.
A relevant tertiary qualification coupled with significant experience in logistics, operations, freight forwarding, and supply chain management, or equivalent expertise acquired through a blend of education, training, and experience is required.
Demonstrated experience in managing time-sensitive supply across various projects and countries, including:

  1. Procurement processes,
  2. Supplier and freight forwarder relationship management,
  3. Customs clearance protocols,
  4. Monitoring supply and equipment deliveries,
  5. Consumption tracking and inventory management to meet operational and strategic objectives.

Proven project management capabilities in the development, execution, monitoring, and evaluation of supply chain operations, including contributions to project planning and documentation, as well as the establishment of performance metrics.
Exemplary problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess supply data and conduct root cause analysis of supply chain obstacles and challenges, aimed at driving improvements and ensuring efficient supply chains.
Experience in the health sector and/or with culturally and linguistically diverse communities, particularly in the Asia and Pacific region, is highly desirable, including experience in training and collaborating with both local and international personnel to ensure proper storage and inventory management.
Advanced written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail for deliverables such as standard operating procedures.
Familiarity with budgeting and resource allocation processes, with the capability to provide detailed supply and logistics cost estimates for the overall program budget and monitor expenditures against the budget.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and supply modeling techniques.
Excellent time management abilities, demonstrated through the capacity to adapt to shifting priorities, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet competing deadlines using sound judgment and initiative.
A commitment to the aims, objectives, and values of UNSW, along with adherence to relevant policies and guidelines.
Understanding of health and safety responsibilities (both psychosocial and physical) and a commitment to participating in necessary health and safety training.

Culture and Benefits:
