Supply Chain Operations Manager

Importance of Your Role:
The Supply Chain Operations Manager will take a pivotal role within the Asia and Pacific Health Program, overseeing the comprehensive management of our supply chain for cervical cancer initiatives across the Pacific region. This position demands a commitment to ongoing enhancement and the formulation of strategies aimed at optimizing our supply chain solutions. The role involves collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, including service providers, suppliers, freight forwarders, project coordinators, and local personnel. Effective communication and robust relationships will be essential for achieving successful outcomes.
Your Profile:
You are an articulate and self-assured communicator, capable of collaborating with individuals at all levels and simplifying complex technical language for a general audience.
You possess a relevant tertiary qualification along with significant experience in logistics, operations, freight forwarding, and supply chain management, or equivalent expertise acquired through a combination of education, training, and experience.
Demonstrated experience in managing time-sensitive supply across various projects and regions, including:
- Procurement processes,
- Supplier and freight forwarder relationship management,
- Customs clearance protocols,
- Monitoring the delivery of supplies and equipment,
- Consumption tracking and inventory management to meet operational and strategic objectives.
You have proven project management skills in the development, execution, monitoring, and evaluation of supply chain operations, including contributions to project planning and documentation, as well as the establishment of performance metrics.
Exemplary problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a talent for analyzing supply data and conducting root cause analysis of supply chain challenges, aimed at driving improvements and ensuring efficient supply chains.
Experience in the healthcare sector and/or with culturally diverse communities, particularly in the Asia and Pacific region, is highly desirable, including experience in training and collaborating with both local and international personnel to facilitate effective storage and inventory management.
Exceptional written communication skills with a keen attention to detail for deliverables such as standard operating procedures.
Understanding of budgeting and resource allocation processes, with the capability to contribute detailed supply and logistics costs to the overall program budget and monitor expenditures.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and supply chain modeling.
Strong time management skills, demonstrating the ability to adapt to shifting priorities, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet competing deadlines through sound judgment and initiative.

Awareness of health and safety responsibilities and a commitment to participating in relevant training.
