Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to join our team at a pioneering facility in the Australian and Asia-Pac Cell & Gene Therapy landscape. As a Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive supply chain strategy, managing procurement, warehousing, and distribution, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy in collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer.
  • Take full ownership of procurement, warehousing, and distribution, demand & supply planning, and customer service functions.
  • Cultivate strong partnerships with internal stakeholders in Operations, Quality, and Finance to define resource demand, budgets, validation of suppliers, etc.
  • Plan, manage, and coordinate all activities related to sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet future business needs.
  • Harness the established networks across the Westmead Precinct and leverage the unique relationship with NSW Health to bring efficiency and financial benefits these partnerships.
  • Engage with 3PL providers to ensure the appropriate cGMP-compliant warehousing and transportation of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Play a leading role within the organization in the selection and implementation of an ERP system, along with relevant policies, procedures, and training.
  • Optimize supply chain performance through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in all supply chain processes.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through timely deliveries and quality outcomes.
  • Continuously monitor supplier costs and opportunities for competitive cost saving.
  • Prepare and present reports on supply chain performance to the leadership team.

Requirements:

  • Hold a relevant degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Previous experience in a Supply Chain & Logistics role within a cGMP environment is essential.
  • Extensive experience in a similar role, with confidence and ability to establish the Supply Chain function for a new business.
  • Strong leadership and communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Adaptability in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
