Excellent opportunities exist for dynamic and suitably qualified dual Registered Nurses / Registered Midwives with previous experience to take up the position of Maternity Care Specialist at a reputable hospital in Darwin.
About the RoleAs a dual-qualified Registered Nurse / Midwife, your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high standards of evidence-based midwifery care to women of varying ages and cultural backgrounds;
- Planning, assessing, implementing, and evaluating midwifery care in collaboration with women, their families, and the multidisciplinary team to achieve identified health outcomes;
- Providing guidance and support to junior nurses and undergraduate midwives in the provision of midwifery care;
- Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs and contribute to a positive work environment.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Current Registration with AHPRA as a Midwife;
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
- Highly developed clinical skills in maternity services: antenatal/birth suite/postnatal care;
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills;
- A flexible approach to work practice.
