We are seeking a skilled Regulatory Compliance Officer to become a vital part of our dynamic team at Independent Reserve. Reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer, you will leverage your legal expertise to oversee the evaluation and listing process of digital tokens across our organization. Additionally, you will provide support to our Compliance teams in various regions as necessary.


Your primary responsibilities will encompass:
  • Evaluating digital tokens in line with internal policies and risk tolerance, collaborating with external legal advisors as needed.
  • Regularly auditing the tokens listed on exchanges to ensure ongoing adherence to local regulations.
  • Drafting documentation for Board meetings and Risk Committees.
  • Supporting the compliance team with strategic initiatives.


About you:
  • You possess a diploma or degree in Legal Studies, Compliance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • You have over 3 years of relevant experience in a legal or compliance capacity, ideally within the Financial Services or Cryptocurrency sectors.
  • You demonstrate strong analytical abilities, enabling you to swiftly identify and address legal and compliance challenges. You can effectively manage your time and priorities under the guidance of your supervisor.
  • You exhibit a high level of personal integrity and the ability to exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information.

Preferred qualifications:
  • A university-level qualification in financial services or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in banking or financial services with a significant emphasis on compliance.
  • Prior involvement in the cryptocurrency sector.
