Customer Service Position

Our organisation seeks a customer service specialist to support its freight forwarding operation in Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring the smooth execution of import and export sea operations.

About the Role

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver excellent customer service to a portfolio of clients.
  • Manage import and export sea operations using cargo management software.
  • Arrange bookings with shipping lines, ensuring shipments are executed in the most cost/time efficient manner.
  • Monitor and update shipment status reports.
  • Respond to queries from overseas offices, suppliers, and clients.
  • Support the sales and management team.

Skills and Experience Required

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in customer service within the freight forwarding industry.
  • Import air and sea operations experience.
  • Export air and sea operations experience (not essential).
  • A high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent computer literacy and experience in using cargo management software.
  • The ability to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, agents, staff, and all stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
