Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Breakfast Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will assist the Head Chef and Executive Chef in the management of the kitchen, ensuring the delivery of exceptional food quality and service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily food service and on-site kitchen operations to ensure seamless execution of menus and services.
  • Oversee food preparation, production, and presentation to meet Brand Standard guidelines and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Coordinate the stewarding team to meet kitchen requirements and ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Assist the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef in developing new menus and concepts to drive innovation and growth.
  • Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager and Supervisors to meet food and beverage operational objectives and drive customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Culinary excellence: minimum 4 years' experience as a Sous Chef in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment.
  • Creative flair with, and knowledge of current food trends to drive menu innovation and growth.
  • Food Handler Certificate and Trade Certification Level 3 (Level 4 preferred).
  • Strong kitchen managerial skills and operational leadership to drive team performance and efficiency.
  • A drive for customer satisfaction and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Adept in team building and strong employee relations to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
