Social Media Director - Strategic Campaigns

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Media Director to lead our strategic campaigns in Sydney.

At Havas Media AG, we pride ourselves on delivering innovative and effective solutions for our clients. As a Social Media Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive social media strategies that drive engagement, increase brand awareness, and ultimately drive business results.

With a strong background in social media marketing, you will have a deep understanding of the latest trends, tools, and platforms. You will be able to leverage your expertise to create compelling content, build and maintain relationships with key influencers, and analyze campaign performance to inform future strategy.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 7-8 years of experience in client service or agency work, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. You will be a natural leader, able to mentor and develop junior team members, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

In terms of salary, we estimate this role to pay between $120,000 to $180,000 AUD per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a competitive salary range for a senior-level position in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies that drive engagement and increase brand awareness.
  • Lead the development of creative content calendars and oversee community management across all social media channels.
  • Analyze campaign performance using social media listening reports and provide insights to inform future strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including PR, Strategy, Creative, and Experiential, to deliver integrated communications campaigns.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, focusing on training and effective line-management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7-8 years of experience in client service or agency work in a social media or digital team.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Natural leadership skills, with ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in a wide range of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Understanding of social media engagement and monitoring tools, such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social, and Brandwatch.
  • Absolutly fluent in English (native language).
