About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Financial Business Solutions Professional to join our expanding team in Brisbane. This critical role will provide crucial assistance with financial advice, analysis and forecasting to support project and operational performance.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will assist in the continual analysis of financial data and ad-hoc information requests to identify any variances and/or trends to inform business decisions.

  • Provide financial information and support for the tender process
  • Monitor, analyze and assist with calculation of standard cost and standard sell rates.
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting duties, including annual and quarterly planning for business lines, along with the coordination of rolling monthly forecasting.
  • Review and preparation of weekly and monthly reports/analysis of AR, WIP, DSO and Reimbursability.
  • Preparation of end of month dashboards and cashflow forecasting
  • Assist project teams to ensure financial profitability and project performance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with regional business services to ensure accurate processing of transactional accounting/AR/Payroll and timekeeping.
  • Develop and maintain accurate financial models and systems.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in finance or accounting (CA or CPA certification highly regarded)
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management, including advanced knowledge of business planning, developing costings, formulating and monitoring budgets, and financial reporting, models and systems.
  • Advanced computer skills (in particular Excel) including ability to learn/adapt to new systems.
  • Advanced oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective lateral thinking skills to assist with development of improved business solutions.
