About BDO Australia
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team, providing professional accounting services to a diverse range of businesses.
The successful candidate will be involved in preparing financial statements, tax returns, and other financial reports, as well as providing tax planning and advisory services to clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing financial statements in accordance with regulatory and accounting standards;
- Preparing tax returns for all entities;
- Preparing clear and concise work papers;
- Performing tax planning for clients;
- Preparing Business Activity Statements;
- Preparing Fringe Benefit Tax returns;
- Assisting with the preparation of advice for clients in relation to business operations and regulatory matters;
- Assisting with the set-up of new businesses and acquisitions, including structuring advice, financial analysis, due diligence, and cash flow projections;
- Assisting with monthly/quarterly management reporting;
- General business administration.
About You
- Team player with a strong commitment to supporting team members and contributing to our vibrant culture;
- CA or CPA qualified, or currently undertaking;
- 3-4 years Business Services experience;
- Client-focused with excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to establish professional relationships with internal and external clients;
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability;
- Ability to multitask and effectively manage individual and team work flow;
- Self-motivated with a strong commitment to personal and professional development;
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to work;
- Microsoft Office: Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint;
- Advanced Professional Solutions APS (desired);
- Xero (desired).
