Key Responsibilities- Assist with half-year and year-end statutory audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations across the Leisure business, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
- Protect our business by monitoring and reviewing at-risk items, providing proactive solutions to mitigate potential losses.
- Constantly look to improve efficiencies within finance workflow processes, streamlining procedures and enhancing productivity.
- Timely and accurate preparation of monthly Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet reviews, providing actionable insights for informed decision-making.
- Assist with special projects and the implementation of systems and process improvement initiatives, driving business growth and innovation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, relevant accounting standards, and FCL minimum standards for financial systems and processes.
- Month-end accounting for the Leisure business, assisting in the GL close process, including Cash Management and recording, Wage Calculations, and Debtors/Creditors recording.
- CA/CPA or studying towards, with 6-12 months experience in an accounting role.
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or similar.
- Interpersonal and communication skills with ability to develop relationships at all levels.
- Teamwork skills, with a high degree of flexibility and ability to deal with change, growth, and pressure.
