Policy and Ministerial Support Professional

The Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to contribute to the delivery of timely, high-quality policy advice and administrative support.

This position will work across the Tourism Policy and Programs branch and the broader Tourism, Events and Entities branch.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the delivery of Tourism Portfolio support function including research and preparation of Ministerial correspondence and briefings.
  • Providing research and policy advice on numerous visitor economy issues across the division.
  • Actively participating in the development of policies and strategies that are the responsibility of the Tourism Events Strategy and Reform unit.
  • Representing DJSIR at meetings and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders to gain cooperation, influence views and achieve business objectives.
