Job Description:

The appointee will play a pivotal role in enhancing and developing the curriculum within the Tourism and Event Management discipline, drawing upon their expertise. To be successful, you must have experience in teaching management, coordinating, and delivering subjects at both undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels. Your responsibility will be to ensure that content remains current, engaging, and aligned with industry standards.

Additionally, you will foster collaborative relationships between the School and relevant industry partners, strengthening professional connections and enhancing student employability.

Furthermore, the appointee is expected to pursue scholarly research contributing meaningfully to the advancement of learning and teaching practices within the Tourism and Event Management discipline, supporting innovation and academic excellence.

  • PhD or equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the University/profession as appropriate for the relevant discipline areas.
  • Demonstrated competence in teaching, subject coordination, and curriculum development.
  • Evidence of innovative initiatives undertaken in the last three years that have improved the student experience, and the evaluation of effectiveness of these initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with the Scholarship of Learning and Teaching (SoLT).
