What You'll Do
RBGV is seeking a dynamic Manager Tourism Programs and Partnerships to lead the development of a new Tourism Plan and drive engaging visitor programs across Melbourne and Cranbourne Gardens. In this role, you will curate and coordinate inspiring tourism experiences, build and strengthen industry partnerships, and represent RBGV within the tourism sector to grow reach and impact. With responsibility for aligning initiatives to Visit Victoria and Tourism Australia priorities, meeting sales and revenue targets, and enhancing ticketing and distribution systems, you'll balance commercial outcomes with RBGV's mission and values. This is an exciting opportunity for a tourism professional with strong industry networks, program management expertise, and a passion for creating outstanding visitor experiences.
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate will be an experienced tourism professional with a tertiary qualification in Tourism Management (or equivalent experience) and a proven track record as a senior tourism programmer and manager. Ideally you will bring strong networks across Visit Victoria, Tourism Australia, tour operators and the wider industry, with demonstrated expertise in curating, delivering and promoting tourism programs in collaboration with diverse stakeholders, including Traditional Owners and First Peoples. You will have significant experience in establishing and driving success in achieving sales, revenue and audience targets, budget management, contracts and project delivery, along with a clear understanding of how nature, culture and science and exceptional visitor experience combine to create innovative and memorable events. With strong leadership, creativity, and the ability to generate fresh concepts and approaches, you will excel at building relationships, influencing outcomes and navigating complex challenges. Exceptional communication, analytical and decision-making skills will underpin your success in this role.
