About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at Calvary Care. As a Disability Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities, providing personalized care and support to help them lead fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing Personalized Care and Support: Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, community access, and general day-to-day activities.
  • Building Meaningful Relationships: Foster trust and communication with clients, promoting independence and empowering individuals to achieve their goals.
  • Supporting Daily Living Activities: Assist with tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and community access.
  • Empowering Independence: Promote independence and support individuals in achieving their goals and aspirations.

Requirements
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in disability support or a related field is preferred, but not required.
  • Qualifications: Completed qualification of minimum Certificate III in Disability or Individual Support (Ageing and Disability).
  • Driver's Licence: Current and valid Driver's Licence and insured, reliable car.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance: NDIS Worker Screening clearance or willingness to obtain one.
  • Compassion and Empathy: Compassion, empathy, and patience in working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Effective Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills with a customer service orientation.
  • Time Management: Ability to work independently and effectively manage time.
  • Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in the use of technology such as smartphones, email, and the internet.
