Your future responsibilities:

Alstom is seeking an International Mobility Coordinator to enhance our HR team in a fixed-term contract role. Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, you will oversee the management of employee mobility to the Australia and New Zealand region. Leveraging your expertise in this domain, you will ensure a seamless assignment process from initiation to completion, collaborating with home and local HR teams, and supporting specific country or individual situations while leading or participating in cross-functional projects within the department.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing individual mobility files from the identification of employees to their arrival in the host country Providing data and cost estimates to managers and HR prior to expatriation Organizing and participating in briefing sessions with employees, managers, and HR for international permanent transfers and short/long-term assignments Presenting packages and contracts to employees involved in international transfers, including hypothetical tax implications Coordinating the registration of expatriates for local plans Overseeing relocation, immigration, and tax processes in collaboration with external vendors and host HR Preparing tri-party agreements for international permanent transfers Offering guidance to managers and HR on international mobility matters Collaborating with the Sourcing team to review external suppliers, ensuring service quality and value for the business Managing external tax advisors to guarantee timely receipt of payroll information Working with Payroll and Finance to ensure timely provision of information necessary for tax compliance Monitoring visa expiration dates and quotas, ensuring that all systems and records are current Developing an expatriate guide to provide essential information about Australia and New Zealand, the company, and local operations to assist new arrivals Keeping abreast of local market conditions and recommending enhancements to international mobility practices

About you:

Previous experience as an HR Generalist is preferred Demonstrated expatriate management experience within a multinational environment Exceptional communication and facilitation skills Strong influencing and negotiation capabilities Proficient written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage tactfully with a diverse range of individuals People-oriented with the ability to navigate cultural differences Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of various teams Highly dedicated, self-motivated, and a proactive team player Willingness to accommodate different time zones for meetings
