Position Overview

Roche Diagnostics Australia (RDA) is excited to announce an opportunity for the role of Applications Support Specialist - Centralised and Point of Care Solutions (CPS) within our Service & Support Community. This community is dedicated to enhancing the Roche Service and Support experience by delivering exceptional technical assistance to both internal and external clients. The position entails providing proactive field and telephone support to the Roche Diagnostics Australia clientele.

In this role, leveraging your Core Laboratory expertise, you will be responsible for the timely training, installation, and commissioning of both new and refurbished Roche Diagnostics analytical systems. Your commitment will ensure that our existing and prospective customers receive quality after-sales service, and that the designated clientele is serviced in a structured and proactive manner.

You will be tasked with ensuring that customers are kept informed of technical updates, software enhancements, and the proper usage of such updates. Working collaboratively within the Service & Support team and the broader RDA organization, you will help cultivate a culture of continuous feedback, accountability, and a passion for improving patient outcomes. The patient and customer will be at the forefront of your efforts, contributing to RDA's vision of better healthcare outcomes for all Australians.

As a vital member of the Customer Success Community, you will play a key role in supporting the overall success of the community and are expected to operate at a higher strategic level.

To excel in this position, you should possess experience as an Application Specialist or Laboratory Technician, along with the following qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications or a diploma in Science or Laboratory Science, with a strong preference for candidates possessing extensive market knowledge and over 3 years of experience in Core Laboratory Diagnostics and Clinical Chemistry.
  • Proven ability to diagnose application and operational challenges on analytical systems and resolve these issues efficiently.
  • Familiarity with Roche Automated Analytical Systems, including Clinical Chemistry Systems, Immunodiagnostic systems, Hematology Systems, and Integration systems is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication, sales, and collaboration skills.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, coupled with curiosity, resilience, and determination.
  • A personal brand characterized by authenticity, integrity, and a commitment to customer success.
  • The ability to view both the macro and micro aspects of customer needs to inspire innovative thinking.
