We are seeking a highly skilled Android Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Oracle. As a key member of our software assurance organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our new frameworks and services.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, execute, and maintain test cases on different devices and platforms.
- Carry out technical assessments on requested features and identify the scope of work/dependencies for test requirements.
- Provide technical guidance in identifying automation targets and designing white box test scenarios, participate in design reviews, and recommend improvements.
- Assist in troubleshooting and debugging code to find the root cause of the issues and provide detailed information to the development team.
- Conduct advanced static and dynamic code analysis to identify potential performance bottlenecks.
- Lead performance benchmark testing initiatives for mobile applications to ensure optimal application performance.
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders in creating and executing test plans.
- Prepare time estimates of all QA options and other project requirements.
- Identify opportunities to adopt innovative technologies and incorporate them into the team's software test operational processes.
- Promoting the established processes across the team as well as seeking opportunities to streamline and improve on them.
- Mentor Junior QA staff in advanced testing techniques and coding practices.
- BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience with the Android platform and understanding of Kotlin language.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in software test engineering including both white-box and black-box test methodologies.
- Expert knowledge of the mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Software Quality Assurance concepts, best practices, and procedures.
- Good knowledge of any scripting language preferably Python.
- Expertise in Software Test Automation Framework.
- Expertise in Kotlin, with a proven track record of testing Android applications leveraging performance, scalability, and user experience.
- Expert in performance metrics and identifying / implementing optimizations for mobile applications.
- Analyze and identify code for efficiency, reliability, and performance.
- Proficient with code versioning tools, particularly git.
- Experience working with defect tracking tools such as JIRA is required.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with global stakeholders.
- Prior experience in testing/validating SDK will be a big plus.
- Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies will be a plus.
- Exposure to mind-blowing large-scale cutting-edge systems.
