Job Title: Community Development Coordinator

Job Description

The City of Sydney is seeking a Community Development Coordinator to engage with diverse community groups, residents, internal and external stakeholders, and local organisations to develop and implement strategic, innovative, and vibrant programs, services, and events that meet community needs.

This role will further develop and enhance the city's work in key community development areas, working across the City of Sydney area. To best support key priority groups, this role is targeted towards a Bilingual candidate with efficient and fluent language in Mandarin.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Relevant qualifications and/or knowledge gained through experience in the field of community development or engagement.
  • Demonstrated experience in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of community development initiatives, including events and programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders and work cooperatively to achieve community outcomes.
  • Experience in working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
  • Demonstrated experience with project management, document preparation, and report writing.
