Job Title: Dedicated Support Companion

Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled support companion to provide care and assistance to individuals with disabilities. As a support companion, you will work closely with clients to understand their unique needs and preferences, providing personalized support that enhances their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming
  • Provide transportation assistance to clients
  • Offer respite care to clients and their families
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team
  • Follow health and safety regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of clients
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest developments and best practices in the field

Requirements:

  • A minimum of high school or equivalent qualification
  • Certificate 3 in individual support or equivalent/higher
  • Experience working with people with disabilities
  • Strong understanding of disability support principles and guidelines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
