Dedicated Support Worker

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate support worker to join our team. As a support worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our clients, enabling them to live independently and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, toileting, and mobility.
  • Support clients with transportation needs, ensuring safe and timely arrivals at destinations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client care plans and progress.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other members of the care team to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and industry developments.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of high school or equivalent education.
  • Certificate 2 or 4 in individual support or willingness to work towards completion.
  • Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disability.
  • Ability to work with diverse client base, understanding different support needs based on abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.
  • Basic care and first aid skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
