Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Community Participation Specialist to support individuals with complex and/or high behaviour support needs in being actively involved in their community.

The role will operate within our Community Participation division, established to deliver innovative, client-centred programs focused on building essential skills for achieving personal goals.

As a Community Participation Specialist, you will work collaboratively within various teams and independently to provide effective support to clients with complex behavioural needs. This position involves designing and delivering site and community-based activities tailored to individual requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted support to clients with complex and high behavioural support needs
  • Develop and implement innovative person-centred site and community-based activities
  • Work collaboratively across teams and independently to achieve positive outcomes for individuals with disabilities

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Community Services (Disability) or equivalent qualification
  • First Aid Level II certification
  • Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with complex and/or high behaviour support needs
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, conduct, and review activities aimed at increasing social and community participation for individuals with complex and/or high behaviour support needs
