Legal Advisor Role

This is a Legal Advisor role that supports and advises on various financial services, including superannuation, managed investments, IDPS, and discretionary account products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft and review disclosure documents, such as PDSs, FSGs, TMDs, and application forms.
  • Support product development, including terms & conditions and structuring.
  • Conduct website and client communication reviews for compliance.
  • Assist with business integrations and transitions to new products.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts.
  • Provide advice on conflicted remuneration, fee disclosure, and distribution arrangements.
  • Contribute to transactional work, including joint ventures and strategic partnerships.
  • Provide legal advice on regulatory frameworks, including corporate law and ACCC matters.
  • Manage relationships with external service providers.
  • Review and draft board papers and formal presentations.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' post-qualification legal experience in financial services, with a focus on superannuation, investments, and corporate law.
  • Background in a top-tier or mid-tier law firm highly regarded.
  • Strong understanding of financial services regulation and retail client environments.
  • Strong technical, commercial, and influencing skills.
  • Adaptable and confident working across unfamiliar products, issues, and legislation.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail.
