Job Title: Accessible Format Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to support individuals with sensory impairments by providing accessible formats of information.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating large print and braille materials, transcribing curriculum and assessment materials, and aiding staff in delivering vision services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create large print and braille materials using format-relevant best practices
  • Transcribe curriculum and assessment materials for students with sensory impairments
  • Aid staff in delivering vision services, including creating braille, large print books and resources
  • Develop learning resources to aid literacy and concept development for children with blindness or low vision
Requirements:
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Demonstrated experience working with individuals with sensory impairments
  • Relevant qualifications in Braille proficiency or equivalent combination of experience and/or training
