**Program Management Expertise:**

This critical role supports informed decision making across the organization.

The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO), the organization, and internal suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop frameworks, systems, processes, and tools to enhance EPMO outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement solutions.
  • Lead portfolio planning for the EPMO, setting it up for success with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Drive strategic initiative delivery.
  • Maintain a central project register and portfolio plan.
  • Ensure effective analysis and reporting.
  • Work with initiative leads to resolve conflicting priorities, dependencies, risks, and issues impacting portfolio outcomes and business benefits.
  • Provide consulting/analysis services to support business needs and approved projects/priorities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience delivering large programs of work/project portfolios.
  • Strong knowledge of project/program/portfolio management principles.
  • Background in a public sector environment, preferably within a local council.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, liaise, and build trusted relationships with staff across organizational boundaries.
  • Effective time management skills, self-motivation, and ability to remain innovative under pressure.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills in a specialist/technical environment.

Tertiary Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as business management, project management, information management, engineering, human services, or a related discipline.
