About the Role

The Director of Food and Beverage at Sofitel Brisbane Central is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the hotel's food and beverage operations, including meeting and events. This role requires a strong leader who can drive innovation, efficiency, and excellence in the delivery of luxury food and beverage services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the strategic direction and operational management of all food and beverage outlets and meeting and events operations.
  • Provide guidance and direction to relevant managers to ensure profitable and engaging departments.
  • Live and breathe the Sofitel values and brand pillars, ensuring they are evident in all food and beverage areas and team member behaviors.
  • Lead by example and promote a strong culture that focuses on creating unforgettable guest experiences.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to strategize on new product and service offerings.
Requirements
  • A luxury service focus, distinguished presence, and elevated emotional intelligence are essential.
  • Five years of experience in a senior leadership role in a large operational team with multiple outlets.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong networking skills with proven ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • IT savvy with strong computer skills and a systems expert.
  • Experience in building a strong team culture and a record of high performance and achievement.
