Job Description

The role of a Senior Support Technician involves planning and performing routine preventative maintenance activities, along with reactive maintenance tasks associated with electronic security systems.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Providing support to the implementation and execution of annual works plans
  • Planning and performing reactive, routine and preventative maintenance activities in accordance with contractual obligations. Systems include SMS, CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarm, Video Analytics, Intercom, and Networks
  • SUPPORTING THE DELIVERY OF VARIATIONS AND MINOR WORKS PROJECTS
  • Supporting the delivery of projects by participating in assigned tasks, including equipment installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and witness testing
  • Completing and developing maintenance procedures required for reactive and preventative maintenance tasks

Australian Defence Security Clearance is required for this role. Applicants will be required to hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance to baseline level or have the ability to gain one.

The successful candidate will have experience in the security industry with IP based systems, IT hardware and troubleshooting, Gallagher access control and intruder alarm systems, setup/configuration and installation of IP based CCTV and intercom systems, and servicing and maintenance of general security system equipment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • Experience in the security industry with IP based systems, IT hardware and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with Gallagher access control and intruder alarm systems
  • Ability to setup, configure and install IP based CCTV and intercom systems
  • Knowledge of security system equipment and its maintenance

Australian Defence Security Clearance is highly desirable for this role.
