This role will report to the Regional Operations Manager – Portables and be responsible for driving the success of the operational areas of Customer Service and Transport at the Sydney Portables Branch (Erskine Park). As a senior leader, you will have a significant impact on the team's performance and well-being.

Safety

  • Lead initiatives to improve safety performance and reduce risks.
  • Drive lead indicators and active participation rates to promote safe behavior and risk awareness among team members.

Engagement

  • Lead and inspire the operational team to develop improvement strategies and implement them as a cohesive unit.
  • Develop your team through training and talent management to achieve agreed objectives.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure alignment and mutual respect.

Customer Service & Financial Performance

  • Mentor and guide the operational teams to achieve set targets for revenue, cost, PBT, and customer service.
  • Develop strategies for network optimization and supply chain efficiency.
  • Manage key performance indicators, focusing on labor cost, maintenance efficiency, and transport cost.

What You'll Bring to the Role

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Relevant experience in Modular Buildings, Equipment Rental, and/or Transport/Logistics
  • Strong people leadership skills and ability to set goals and get strategy buy-in from all levels of the organization
  • Experience in developing a strong safety culture across a diverse team
  • Proven track record showing improvements in safety lead and lag indicators
  • Ability to control and improve KPIs and meet budget and forecast commitments
  • Strong business and commercial acumen and empathy

The estimated salary for this role is AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
