This senior leadership role will report to the Regional Operations Manager – Portables and be directly responsible for the ongoing performance and success of the operational areas of Customer Service and Transport at the Sydney Portables Branch (Erskine Park). This is a key position at one of our flagship branches with responsibility for a significant headcount.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the required improvements in branch safety performance from the front.
  • Drive lead indicators and active participation rates to improve safe behavior and risk awareness of the teams.
  • Lead and inspire the operational team to develop improvement strategies and deliver them as a team.
  • Actively and consistently ensure you are developing your team to achieve agreed objectives through training and talent management.
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure alignment and mutual respect.
  • Mentor and guide the operational teams to ensure achievement of set targets for revenue, cost, PBT, and customer service.
  • Develop strategies for potential network and focus on supply chain optimization.
  • Run a tight ship in regard to key performance indicators, with particular focus on labor cost, maintenance efficiencies, and transport cost across the branch.

Requirements

  • Relevant and transferable experience in Modular Buildings, Equipment Rental, and/or Transport/Logistics.
  • Strong people leadership skills and ability to set goals and get strategy buy-in from all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience in developing a strong safety culture across a diverse team.
  • Proven track record showing improvements in safety lead and lag indicators.
  • Ability to control and improve KPIs and meet budget and forecast commitments.
  • Strong business and commercial acumen and empathy.

Salary

The estimated annual salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 AUD depending on experience.
