The role of Hardware Support Technician is a vital position in our organization, where you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our hardware systems.
As a Hardware Support Technician, you will be the first point of contact for customers with hardware-related issues. Your primary responsibility will be to diagnose and resolve hardware faults, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance of our hardware systems.
You will also be responsible for conducting physical repairs on devices, troubleshooting to identify and resolve hardware faults, and managing vendor warranty processes.
In addition to your technical skills, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with customers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Repairing and supporting point of sale hardware and warehouse mobile computers across the store network.
- Conducting physical repairs on devices, troubleshooting to identify and resolve hardware faults, and managing vendor warranty processes.
- Providing remote assistance on escalations and performing root cause analysis on identified problems.
- Managing the replacement of devices to stores.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Level 1-Level 2 support experience.
- Hands-on experience with technical repairs, experience working with POS devices, printers, scanners, or Zebra mobile devices.
- A collaborative and enthusiastic team-oriented approach to providing team member support.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Tenacity to pursue and resolve ongoing issues.
