With our Head Office located in Rowville, Victoria, we are looking to add to our Software team, to meet the increasing demand for our survey equipment with its proprietary software system.

About the role

We are seeking a Systems Tester to join us, working closely with our Software & Hardware teams to create the best possible system solutions for our clients. You will be regularly working with complex GPS, Camera and Laser data collection systems, as well as data processing and display systems.

Our ideal candidate will be self motivated, detail orientated with strong technical skills and an interest in setting up and problem solving complex hardware and software systems. You should be motivated in understanding the systems at a high level and be capable of providing feedback and support to hardware and software teams. Graduates are encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Understanding our hardware and software systems at a high level and provide development teams with feedback and support.
• Add and track bugs, execute software test plans and hardware validation procedures
• Installing and configuring software, hardware and networking systems associated with our products
• Assist Test Lead with product releases, software testing, hardware validation and related procedures
• Creating, updating and maintaining knowledge base articles, procedures and test plans
• Processing test and validation data, performing statistical analyses, producing reports, graphs, and recommendations of systems' performance
• Certifying quality of data and performance of systems prior to delivery

Skills required:

• Bachelor's degree or qualifications in an appropriate field (IT or Engineering)
• Hardware System Experience – GPS, Camera and Laser System Experience Advantageous
• Windows Systems Experience – Remote Desktop, Credential Manager, Command Line etc
• IT Networking Experience – Network Protocol, Address Assignment etc
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Experience testing desktop and web applications
• Experience configuring and managing PC operating systems (Windows)
• Experience with data analysis, databases, spreadsheets and statistics
• Experience with Jira, Target Process or similar software project management system
• Experience with databases and SQL
• You must hold an Australian Driver's Licence
