Purpose: Support the spiritual and emotional needs of elderly residents by providing companionship, support and spiritual care.

About the Role: As a Pastoral Care Volunteer, you will work alongside an experienced team to provide support, companionship and spiritual care to those who need it most. You will be actively involved with a local church and supplement and complement the work of our Pastoral Care Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support people to meet their spiritual needs
  • Participate in training and workshops
  • Volunteer regularly for at least one hour per week for 6 months or longer
  • Attend social events and meetings as required

Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for
  • Ability to commit to regular volunteering
