Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Highways Engineer to join our core Civil Infrastructure business unit in Sydney. You will be part of the teams delivering NSW's latest road infrastructure and energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage selected designs and teams for projects or design elements to meet budget, time-frame, and quality targets
  • Provide technical advice to project team members while building and maintaining effective relationships
  • Collaborate with other design teams and disciplines to ensure the integrity and quality of the overall design of infrastructure and land development projects
  • Develop digitally innovative design solutions for clients
  • Promote and develop the technical capability of other team members
Requirements:

You share our passion for improving quality of life and want to be part of city-shaping projects. You have a forward-thinking attitude and are ready to challenge yourself. You are a degree-qualified engineer with experience in civil design and hold:

  • A relevant engineering degree with or progressing to Chartered status or equivalent professional accreditation
  • Experience (>7 years) in providing high-quality delivery of roads and civil related concepts and designs while working collaboratively with other teams
  • Sound knowledge and experience working with local design standards including Austroads Guide to Road Design and specifications
  • The ability to lead, manage, mentor, and develop medium-scale, diverse project teams
  • A sound understanding or desire to progress into design management
  • Experience in reviewing designs in 3D software
  • Strong stakeholder management capability through effective communication
  • A passion for continuous improvement, quality, and improving service for clients
